Due to the unprecedented ice storm and high volume of debris, Charlevoix Township, in conjunction with Drost Landscaping, will conduct branch and stick chipping starting on Friday, April 18.
- Only branches of 4″ or less will be chipped. Anything larger will be left.
- Please stack so butt ends are in the same direction and close to the road. Multiple small piles would be appreciated rather than one large pile. Crews will not venture far into yards.
- Each road will be hit only once to eliminate the bulk of the storm damage.
- This will not replace the annual township chipping by Drost the first week of June. Anything missed during the initial cleanup will be chipped during this time.
- Our township crew will be conducting the bulk of the chipping, please be understanding they are doing this in addition to their regular daily duties.
- Please be patient as this is a slow and labor intensive undertaking. Crews are working as hard as they can under the circumstances to hit your road as soon as possible.
